Frequently Asked Questions

Below we have answered the most common questions our visitors ask.

Please contact us if you find your question has not been answered on this page.

Q: What are your business hours?
A: We are open 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and ALL Public Holidays

Q: How are boarding charges calculated?
A: Daily charges are calculated as follows. You will be charged for the first day of boarding regardless of the drop-off time. Providing your pet is collected before 10:00 am you will not be charged for the final day of boarding.

Q: What is the daily charge to board my pet?
A: Please contact us today on 03 9722 1202 for all our pricing options

Q: Do you have a peak and non-peak rate?
A: No, our daily prices are standard all year round

Q: Do you have a minimum stay during peak periods?
A: Yes, for Easter bookings there is a 5 day minimum for boarding and for Christmas and New Years there is a 10 day minimum for boarding

Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required for ALL bookings over Easter, Christmas, New Years and during the School Holidays

Q: Will my dog be warm?
A: Yes all our kennels are indoors, and insulated, they provide a comfortable environment for your pet.

Q: My dog is spoilt, will it be lonely?
A: No. Your pet will get plenty of interaction with other dogs and kennel staff that routinely monitor your pet throughout the day.

Q: My dog is a fussy eater, what do you feed them?
A: We feed dogs only premium dry foods such as Purina & Black Hawk, as well as cooked chicken, rice and vegetable loaves. These products are readily eaten by the fussiest dog.

Q: Are the pens big enough?
A: Yes all our pens are legally big enough for two dogs to stay in, and we have large exercise yards too.

Q: My dog is very friendly, can it board with a friend?
A: We can only mix two dogs if the owners consent and the two dogs are compatible. Under no circumstances will more than two dogs be boarded together because of Victorian State Government boarding regulations.

Q: What vaccinations will my dog require?
A: We require a C5 vaccination, which covers Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo Virus and Canine Cough. The vaccination must be current within the last 12 months.

Q: Will my cat be on its own? I have seen catteries where 10-15 cats share a common pen.
A: Yes, if you have one cat. Cats from different households are never mixed, however two cats from the same family can share the same pen.

Q: What do you feed cats?
A: For cats we have quality brand named tinned foods and premium quality dry food.

Q: What vaccinations should my cat have?
A: F3 or F4. Your vet will advise you on levels of vaccinations.

Q: Can my dog be trained while boarding?
A: Yes. We have various Boarding & Training programs to cater for your needs.

Q: Will my dog obey me when it comes home?
A: Yes. During the stay, we will train your dog thoroughly, and during the hand-over lesson we make sure you know how to control the dog.

Q: My dog has been trained, can he have Refresher Training during boarding.
A: Certainly, many owners take the opportunity to have Refresher Training.

Q: I have been trying to train my dog with no success, can you help?
A: We have helped many owners with a similar problem. We specialise in Problem Solving.

Q: I will be leaving for my holiday early in the morning, how can I get my pet to the Kennel?
A: Easy. Our popular pickup and delivery service will solve the problem. This service is available Monday to Friday 6:00-8:00am. We are always on time.

Q: What happens if my pet gets sick during the stay?
A: We prefer to use your vet, but if distance becomes an issue we have access to several vets should an emergency arise.
